Not as crooked!!

Looks like my sideways, crooked tooth has been on the move!! It's not nearly as sideways as it was!! Yay progress!!!

1 month with braces!

Well Saturday will technically mark my one month with braces. I find I am pretty used to them now and only really notice them if something has shifted and they start to run in new places. I can already see some improvements which makes me very happy!! In two weeks I will go for my first adjustment. Seems like time is creeping by! I think I'm just impatient to get my first one done :) here are some pics of my progress. Sorry they're not the nicest pics!!

And this is today. Not a ton of visible difference but I can feel it for sure :) I'll post again after my first adjustment on November 3!

And they're on!!

So I got my braces put on today. Wasn't too bad. Sally the assistant is pretty awesome and Dr. D is fast and efficient :) after we were done he looked at me and told me I looked 18! Thanks Dr. D!!

One more sleep!!

I cannot believe that I will have braces tomorrow. I have been waiting to get this done for so long! I am actually super nervous!! I will post how everything goes tomorrow! Wish me luck!

T minus 8 days and counting!

So it's almost bracing time!! In 8 days I will be joining the braces club! I am both super excited and nervous at the same time. It's pretty surreal that this is finally going to happen after all of this time. Hopefully nothing goes wrong from now until then and we can get this show on the road!! 

Surgery Consult

I finally have a date for my Surgery Consultation!! However as excited as I am its going to be a long wait! It is scheduled for mid December.

Apparently this surgeon is one of the top in the province. I've read online reviews and all of them are very positive so I suppose it will be worth the wait. Counting down the days now until I get my braces on. I think i'm most impatient because my ortho mentioned the possibility of needing SARP surgery and I won't know if that is in the plans until I see my surgeon.

Ok so I got my copies of the initial workup.

Here are the pics they took. YIKES I am not a fan! As you can see I have a pretty severe open bit. Also my mid line is WAY off to the left. My ortho said most of the time the mid line goes off to the right so mine is weird. And my palate is pretty narrow so he mentioned the possibility of SARP surgery. I'm hoping I don't have to do SARP surgery. One surgery is enough!

And here is my lateral x-ray. You can see my piercing in here lol. As you can see I have a pretty narrow airway. Even my Ortho says its narrow. Makes sense why I snore so bad now.

So now we wait to get the braces on.
